State Prize: Award for Skills

Communication campaign for MQ Libelle awarded in the Corporate PR category at the PRVA Gala.

We are very happy, because at this year’s State Award Gala Skills was once again able to take home a trophy. The campaign for the positioning of the MQ Libelle, which was developed together with the MQ – MuseumsQuartier Wien, was awarded the State Prize in the category “Corporate PR”. Every year, the PRVA and the Ministry of Economics award the State Prize for PR to outstanding communications achievements in Austria. The prize is one of the most important awards in the communications industry.

The goal of the campaign? To turn the new scene location – the MQ Libelle – on the roof of the Leopold Museum in the MuseumsQuartier into a “place to be” where the Viennese can enjoy their leisure time amid high-quality art and culture. With around 60 cultural institutions, the MuseumsQuartier Wien is not only one of the world’s largest art and cultural areas, but also a platform for new discourses and the exchange of ideas. With this in mind, the MuseumsQuartier Wien was expanded for the first time with the MQ Libelle.

From a total of 77 entries, a jury of experts selected the winners of the State Award. It justified the category win as follows: An outstanding awareness campaign positioned the new MQ Libelle as a cosmopolitan, vibrant and future-oriented living and cultural space in the heart of Vienna. A broad-based multichannel approach ensured that the opening of the MQ Libelle was communicated in a tailored manner to the defined dialog groups despite difficult general conditions due to the pandemic.
