The Rule of Law & Anti-Corruption Referendum was launched by a group of prominent citizens and experts who have been critically examining the rampant corruption in the country as well as an increasingly questionable political culture for many years. Countless cases of suspected corruption in recent years triggered the organization of a non-partisan petition for a referendum to protect the rule of law and declare war on corruption in Austria.
With 72 substantive demands, divided into five thematic blocks, the referendum not only wants to positively fuel the political discourse in Austria, but above all to bring long overdue reforms in the areas of the rule of law and the fight against corruption.
The Skills Group has accompanied the referendum since its launch and supports the proponents in their campaign work.
