The Institute for Internal Auditing (www.internerevision.at ) aims to promote and develop internal auditing in Austria. Based in Vienna, the Institute’s activities are non-profit and non-political. Its main tasks include national and international knowledge sharing, providing information on internal auditing, intensifying cooperation between science and practice, and developing and constantly adapting principles and methods. A key objective is also the further training of internal auditing staff within the Academy for Internal Auditing. The Institute currently has around 2,000 members from all sectors of the Austrian economy.
