Health Benefits Registry (GBR)

The health profession registry has been under construction since July 2018. The goal is to register more than 150,000 healthcare and senior medical-technical service workers, as well as 10,000 new graduates annually. Registration is a prerequisite for practicing in the profession. Those registered in the health profession registry receive a professional card. This upgrades the qualifications of professionals and increases patient safety. The Chamber of Labour (AK) and Gesundheit Österreich GmbH (GÖG) have been entrusted with the registration.
