The Harley-Davidson Charity Fund has been supporting needy people in Austria, especially children and young people suffering from muscular dystrophy, since 1996. In doing so, the Charity Fund also supports projects of the “Licht ins Dunkel” emergency aid fund for disabled children and children with muscular illnesses. The annual Harley-Davidson Charity Tour has become one of the most important motorcycle events in Austria in recent years. Under the motto ‘LOUD for the quiet – STRONG for the weak’, the tour stops in almost every Austrian province. Through participation fees, the sale of fan articles and the support of sponsors, around 2.3 million euros in donations for needy children have been raised in 20 years.
