Founded in 1964, hagebau Handelsgesellschaft für Baustoffe mbH & Co. KG is a cooperative venture of more than 360 legally independent, medium-sized companies in the specialist and retail trade. More than 1,750 locations in Central and Western Europe (Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, France, Belgium, Spain and the Netherlands) are affiliated with the hagebau Group. The 36 Austrian hagebau shareholders employ around 3,500 people and operate a total of 154 locations. In Austria, the cooperation has its headquarters in Brunn am Gebirge. Together with the headquarters of the cooperative group (Soltau/Germany), the two corporate headquarters with more than 850 employees provide services for the affiliated, medium-sized trading houses, particularly in the areas of purchasing, sales, systems, logistics, marketing and financial consulting.
