Experience culture with Google
Google Arts & Culture has been working with over 2,000 cultural institutions from 80 countries since 2011. The online platform allows users to discover cultural treasures of the world with just one click. From Austria, 26 cultural institutions are currently represented.
In particular, Skills accompanied the client Google Austria with extensive media work on the Google Arts & Culture exhibition and retrospective of Gustav Klimt, which was created under the direction of the Austrian Gallery Belvedere with more than 30 partner institutions from 12 countries (including Japan, USA, Spain) in several years of work. The exhibition is called “Klimt vs. Klimt – The Man of Contradictions” (#KlimtvsKlimt). The approximately 700 exhibits in the online exhibition include about 120 paintings, 300 drawings, 15 murals, 200 photographs, letters, etc., and 120 curated online exhibitions. More than 60 Klimt masterpieces have been captured in ultra-high resolution using Google’s Art Camera: For example, “The Kiss” from the Belvedere’s collection can be viewed closer than ever before.
