Tropical Medicine Institute Niederösterreich

The new Tropical Medicine Institute in Mödling was founded by Dr. Erich Pawelka, a specialist in infectious diseases. As the first facility of its kind in Lower Austria, it serves the public as a specialized center for travel medicine, vaccinations, travel and vaccination counseling, and the diagnosis of infectious diseases. Pawelka is a senior physician in the 4th Department of Infectious and Tropical Medicine at Favoriten Hospital and has been practicing as a private physician in Mödling since 2024. The new center for travel medicine, vaccinations, and infectious diseases strengthens regional healthcare in Lower Austria, particularly in the district of Mödling.
