Therme Wien is a project of Wien Holding GmbH, in partnership with VAMED KMB, Vienna Insurance Group – Wiener Städtische Versicherung AG, UniCredit Bank Austria AG, and Erste Group Bank AG. The facility is operated by VAMED Vitality World. Opened in the fall of 2010, Therme Wien is one of the most modern urban thermal spas in Europe. Spread over a total area of 75,000 m², it features approximately 4,000 m² of water surfaces, around 3,000 m² of sauna space, a health and wellness area covering over 6,000 m², and a fitness area of roughly 1,200 m².
A Success Story of VAMED Vitality World
VAMED Vitality World currently operates six of Austria’s most renowned resort destinations. In addition to Therme Wien, these include AQUA DOME – Tirol Therme Längenfeld, Spa Resort Geinberg, Thermenresort Laa, St. Martins Therme & Lodge in Frauenkirchen, and TAUERN SPA Zell am See – Kaprun. Together, these resorts welcome around 2.6 million guests annually and employ approximately 1,700 staff members.
