Saferinternet.at supports children, young people, parents and teachers in the safe, competent and responsible use of digital media. At www.saferinternet.at, one can find up-to-date information and practical tips on topics such as social networks, cyber bullying, sexuality & the Internet, data protection, copyrights, Internet fraud, media education, etc. In addition, Saferinternet.at offers customised workshops in schools or at parents’ evenings, as well as free guidebooks and brochures, and much more. Saferinternet.at is the Austrian information point in the EU’s Safer Internet Network (Insafe), and is implemented by the ÖIAT Institute in cooperation with ISPA, the Austrian Internet providers’ association. It is financed by the “CEF/Safer Internet” programme of the EU Commission, the Federal Chancellery, the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research, the Federal Ministry of Digitalisation and Business Location as well as sponsors from industry such as A1, Facebook and Huawei.
